Despite the feeling that the sheet-metal work would not require much of turning or milling, Colchester lathe and Bridgeport miller are in permanent use. They save a lot of time, making things look (even more) professional, or simply enabling some things to be done at all. They were acquired at at such a marginal price of the whole boat project - we would not hesitate to get one of each if we started from scratch again.
