Fig. 3.1.5a,b,c,d As the keel is actually integral section of the hull, it should be rather part of the hull framing and plating section, however, somehow, it feels different. Certainly, due to its awkward position its far more cumbersome for cleaning (a), fitting (b) and welding (c). Plating, however, was a piece of cake, never before or after we stretched anything lighter than the keel plating (d)
